La Badelle is a lovely holiday home located in a quiet residential area around Gordes, knows as one of the most beautiful French villages. Gordes is in the Luberon, one of the most authentic regions of Provence, protected as a national park. The Luberon is known throughout the world for its magnificent landscape and picturesque towns such as Lacoste, Menerbes, Roussillon, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and many others. Art cities such as Avignon, Nîmes and Arles, as well as the delightful southern cities of Salon de Provence and Aix-en-Provence are also close by. Marseille and the Cote d’Azur are about an hour’s drive away. La Badelle is a recently built house on a naturally sloppy plot of land of 3650 m2, wonderfully done up in the style of the region in natural stone and old materials. The house is set in a dead-end street.
On the ground-floor, there is an entrance hall with a toilet, then a spacious living room and sitting area with a mini-stereo, cable television and DVD player, a modern fitted kitchen with the finest comfort (microwave, freezer, dishwasher). A door goes from the living room to an adjoining bathroom with a toilet and 1 bedroom (1x2p). All this space has an access to a 40m² sunny terrace. There is a laundry area with a washing machine and a dryer at the back of the house. On the first floor, there are 3 double rooms (1x2p, 2x1p, 2x1p). The bedroom with the two beds has its own adjoining bathroom with a bathtub, toilet and double sinks. Further along there is a separate toilet and a third bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and double sinks. The house is air-conditioned during the summer thanks to a system that brings cold water through the floor and the temperature then drops.
There is a big beautiful swimming pool in the garden (5x11m), which is not too deep allowing the children to play freely. Green grass around the swimming pool, as well as plants and flowers. The garden offers shade under the trees, and there is an open pool-house near the swimming pool with a shaded table. Spacious garden space, garden furniture to enjoy lying around the swimming pool, barbecue (gas – coal is not allowed when there is danger of fire in the area).
La Badelle is an ideal southern holiday home for those seeking peace, nature and culture in a pleasant sunny climate.
