Villa Farigoule is a large villa recently-built in Provençal style located in a quiet place on a 5000m² plot of land, in a dead-end dirt street. The Luberon Mountains (Unesco World Heritage Site) practically begins right behind the garden and create a barrier against the Mistral wind. It is a natural shield.
Falcons and other wild birds live close by, you can hear them from the garden. Part of the garden is an authentic, natural garrigue with wild flowers, wild thyme (farigoule), orchids and evergreen oak trees. Another side is in regional style, with olive trees, lavender, du genet, fruit trees with a vine that gives some welcome shade. The garden has automatic watering.
The swimming pool (5x10m) is equipped with counter-current and has a depth that ranges from 1m20 to 1m90, with a terrace and long chairs. On the northern face of the house you will find a spacious parking space with a carport and a petanque alley.
The house is made up of 2 floors and it is southward, offering a lovely view of the mountains. On the ground floor there is a large and delightful dining area, a wood burner, 2 sitting areas and a kitchen that has access to the spacious terrace and garden through sliding doors. The kitchen is very well fitted (fridge, oven, dishwasher, Senseo coffee machine, bread baker, fruit squeezer, …). Next to the kitchen there is a laundry room with a second fridge, a microwave and a washing machine. Barbecue on the terrace on a Weber-Barbecue.
Charcoal barbecue is forbidden in the Luberon for fear of fire. 1 bedroom with a double bed (1x2p) and a bathroom with a sink and bath, are all on the ground floor. In a separate part of the house on the northern side you will find a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds and an adjoining bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and bath. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms (1x2p., 1x2p.+2x1p.). There is a toilet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a sink. From this floor, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the garden and mountain. On the spacious terrace, part of which is covered, there is more than the necessary garden furniture. Electric heating throughout the house. Farigoule is a perfect place to be based for discovering Provence, whether on foot, by car on bicycle. There are magnificent cycling ways.
