La Chamoiserie is a beautiful duplex apartment for 6 people in Montgenèvre, France. This holiday rental is located near the slope in an authentic, high-altitude village in the ski area Voie Lactée. The area is a few hundred meters from the French-Italian border in the heart of the Alps.
This duplex holiday rental is located on the 3rd & 4th floor of the building and is easily accessible by elevator. The apartment is extremely practical and tastefully furnished. On the lower floor are the sleeping areas, 2 of which have a double bed and an attached bathroom. The 3rd bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed. On the 4th floor, there is the open kitchen with a beautiful living space and a cozy wood-burning fireplace.
After a day of skiing, you can create your own après-ski on the balcony with a view of the mountains and then enjoy a delicious fondue or raclette.
Montgenèvre is a family-friendly but also very sporty ski village at 1860m on the French-Italian border. Over 400km of slopes stretch on both sides of the border. The village is easy to reach and is the only French location connected to the ski slopes of Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, and San Sicario.
Is there enough snow? Put on your skis from your holiday home and take the nearest ski lift just 200m away that takes you to higher altitudes (1350m-2823m). There is also a free shuttle service to the slopes from 8:30 am to 6 pm with a stop in front of your holiday home every 30 minutes!

Surroundings
The Chalvet ski lift is located 200 meters from the residence. It is possible to ski from the residence if there is enough snow. During the winter, two free shuttle buses operate in the village to facilitate access to the slopes. From December 2, 2023, to April 20, 2024, there is continuous service from 08:30 to 18:00, with a stop at the residence every 30 minutes.
- The blue route serves the village.
- The green route goes to the snow zone.
- The two ski schools are located 400 meters from the residence, one in the Obelisk hamlet and the other in the Prairial area.
- There is a toboggan run next to the ice rink. The ski area has 100 km of slopes, and the Voie Lactée has 400 km of slopes divided between France and Italy.
- The cross-country skiing center is located across from the tourist office.
For groceries, you can visit:
- SPAR in the Napoléon building (200 meters from the residence).
- SHERPA on Church Street (300 meters from the residence).
- PROXI in the Obelisk hamlet (500 meters from the residence) with the widest selection.
The Jean Gabin cinema shows two films per day during school holidays, otherwise one per day. All major addresses can be found in the welcome brochure.
MONTGENEVRE is located:
- 10 km from Briançon, night train from Paris.
- 2.5 km from Clavière (small Italian ski resort).
- 5 km from the Vallée de la Clarée.
- 20 km from Oulx (Italian city), direct TGV from Paris in 4 hours and 30 minutes.
- 59 km from Embrun (Lac de Serre-Ponçon).
- 100 km from Turin by road or 1 hour by train from Oulx.
In the summer, there is a golf course in Montgenèvre, the only transnational golf course in Europe. It has 9 holes in France and 9 holes in Italy, as well as a mini-golf course.
