So far, we have chosen and listed one house, the Maison de Musique, as part of CAP’s portfolio. We look forward to listing some more, because we completely fell in love with this area of Centre-Val de Loire in France.

2024 will be a particularly exciting year as France is hosting the Olympic Games, and Chateauroux will be hosting the shooting events.: from July 27th until August 5th, there will be the Olympic Games, and from August 30th until September 5th there will be the Paralympic Games.

Rent this holiday house in Chateauroux and be part of the buzz which only happens every four years, and not always this close! We are making the Olympic Games accessible to you, yet from the comfort of your own home; with the added bonus that you can get away from the crowds at any moment and dive back into the stillness of your private garden.

As we have already mentioned in other blogs, France is a great place for cycling. This region is wonderful for cyclists, as there are beautiful historical paths along the river L’Indre, from the Berry to Touraine.

You can follow the “Indre à Vélo” trail which will take you from Chenonceaux to Azay-le-Rideau, two of the most famous and beautiful castles, via Loches to Jeu-les-Bois which is south of Chateauroux. It is a very enjoyable 200km route, and you can take a few breaks to enjoy fantastic local food and excellent local wines!

Make sure you visit the Catholic heritage in Chateauroux, which boasts of two magnificent churches, the Eglise Notre-Dame and the Eglise Saint-André.

Chateauroux is on the edge of the Poinçonnet Forest, home to a variety of fauna and flora and spreading over more than 5000 hectares. Again, you can take your bicycle, or go hiking. Horse-riding is a possibility here too!
