9 best beaches in Le Marche

Italy is full of surprises. When I think of Italy, so many things spring to mind: fashion of course, a ristretto on a terrace in Rome, pizza in Naples, a stroll by the Arno in Tuscany, and the list goes on. However, speaking of surprises, have you ever considered combining a beach day with Renaissance art? With opera?

Let us share with you Le Marche’s magnificent beaches on the Adriatic Sea.

Escape from the summer crowds! There are no less than 29 Blue Flag beaches, which is an official world-recognized award for cleanliness and safety. Rent a holiday house in Le Marche and enjoy a summer off the beaten paths.

Sirolo beaches

Sirolo is home to four beaches, Urbani, San Michele, Sassi Neri and Spiaggia Due Sorelle.

This last one is the most instagrammable since you can only reach it by boat from Sirolo, making for a fabulous day to look forward to. Then go back to your holiday villa to unwind and enjoy the countryside.

Numana beaches

Another glorious surprise in Le Marche is the ability to go from wine country to the beach in just a few minutes, and this is the perfect place for such a day.

Leave your holiday house with a swimming pool and drive out to Rosso Conero vineyards for some wine-tasting, then continue onto the Numana beaches. A heavenly day in any books!

Gabicce Mare

This beach is breathtakingly located in the natural park of San Bartolo. It has a spectacular drop from mountain to water which makes it very impressive.

You can start with the San Bartolo mountain where you can go hiking, discover quaint villages, and superb Renaissance castles and residences, before cooling off with a dip in the sea. How wonderful is that!

This is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts.

For those of you with more adrenaline than your holiday villa can offer, enjoy the hiking trails and other activities in the heart of the Conero Mountains protected park, on the edge of which you will find this glorious pristine beach.

Pesaro is another set of three beautiful Blue Flag beaches, Sottomonte Pesaro, Ponente Pesaro and Levante Pesaro, offering you a wonderful day before getting back to your holiday house in the heart of nature.

There are three beaches here, Nord Fano, Sassonia Nord Fano, and Torrette Fano. These beaches are close to Urbino, a town rich in Renaissance art and a UNESCO Heritage Site.

A good reason to leave your holiday house with a swimming pool!

Civitanova Marche

Nowhere else would I imagine combining a beach day with opera. But here at Lungomare Sud and Nord beaches, opera lovers can spend the day at the beach and enjoy divine opera.

Every year in July and August, Macerata hosts a yearly opera festival at the Sferisterio, one of Italy’s largest open-air stadiums.

For a unique and exceptional experience! And we have the right holiday houses for you here!

San Benedetto beaches

Drag yourself away from your private swimming pool in Italy and enjoy a stretch of white sandy beaches.

As an added bonus, the food is particularly good and their spaghetti alle vongole is a distinct culinary experience!

Cupra Marittima

Last but not least, and if you are in a more adventurous mood. This beach is definitely worth the effort, but it does involve walking to get there.

The setting is more rugged, but there are even lesser crowds. And you have your holiday villa to go home to and relax in the evening!

None of this appeals to your senses?

Go for a full beach holiday on the Spanish Costa Blanca or the French Cote d’Azur
